An Interesting Life

In addition to keeping me out of Hell, taking me to Heaven and all the other blessings that come to one who has received Christ and become born again, there is the blessing of sometimes perceiving the work of God on me, in my life, in the lives of others, in families, in churches, in nations and even in unbelievers. The blessing of being enabled to perceive the work of our Creator and Saviour makes life more interesting and exciting than anything else could. Receiving Christ is a spiritual eye-opener. It permits us to perceive, enjoy and remember the work of God. What joy!!! If you cannot perceive and enjoy and remember the work of God in and around you, you are missing a tremendous blessing.

Ecclesiastes 9:1: For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.

Acts 2:11: Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

Psalms 66:5: Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

Psalms 78:7: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

My father lost his right leg when he was 14 years of age. I minister in nursing homes and I often meet amputees. Because of what happened to my father we have an instant connection that leads to all sorts of blessings for both the amputees and me and sometimes it provides an opportunity to share the gospel.

A gentleman backed his pickup truck into the back of my car in a parking lot while I was still in it. There was no damage. I gave him a gospel tract with the service times of my church I on it and this is what he said: Praise God brother, I will visit your church!! Who but God could arrange something like that?

A woman was working on the roof of her home when the ladder fell down. She could not get anyone*s attention to put the ladder back up. Eventually, she had to jump from the roof and suffered injuries that put her in a nursing home where I minister for therapy. I learned that she was a pianist in an unbiblical church. Whenever anyone attends the services I conduct that I do not know is saved I always lead the folk in a prayer to receive Christ at the end of my messages. As she wheeled herself out of the room she said Thanks, that was just what I needed! I don*t know for whether that meant that she received Jesus but she had an opportunity to do so. Who but God could have arranged that?

Some years ago I shared the gospel on a Thanksgiving morning with a man who had been crushed between a pickup truck and a wall. He was suffering terrible pain from numerous broken bones and internal injuries but received Christ. This is what he said: This was the best day of my life!!! Who but God could have arranged that?

A young woman received Christ in my presence. A few weeks later she visited the father of her 4 children in prison in another city. They weren*t married. During the visit he said this to her in broken English: Oh, you are doing Jesus too!!? Who but God could have arranged for them both to be saved and perhaps for their children to become saved? I could go on and on and on. I hope and pray you could too.
